Public Engagement:
Sharing my enthusiasm for science and setting examples for the next generation of scientists are core principles of my research program. I have participated in a wide variety of STEM public engagement initiatives, especially with K-12 students in our local communities and overseas.

Facilitate Research Experience:
I also believe that a diverse and inclusive workforce is critical to tackling scientific challenges. So far, I have mentored 37 undergraduates from diverse backgrounds including 25 women, 14 people of color, 9 first-generation college students, 3 LGBTQ community, 2 veterans, and 1 community college transfer.
